Wes Berry, PMP, LEED AP
Sr. Project Manager
Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission

Wes’ introduction to COAA was through attending a workshop. He became more involved when a member of GSFIC Leadership, who is involved with the organization, suggested it may be a great fit for him. This turned out to be great advice.

Wes currently serves on the COAA Georgia Leadership Team, helping with the Social Committee. He works with the team to plan workshops and social events as well as joint events with AIA and CMAA. He has also contributed content and presented at a workshop. On the national level, he has contributed content for COAA’s developing online education.

According to Wes, “COAA is about bringing construction owner’s together to exchange information and tips on how to create successful projects. Volunteering allows me to engage at a deeper level, giving me more exposure to the information as well as Owners. It also has allowed me to be more social than I would otherwise be as it gives me a purpose at events, etc., lowering my social anxiety.

The role of a volunteer can be whatever you make it. If you have an interest in understanding more about construction from an Owner’s perspective, COAA has a place for you.”

Carli Cole
Project Manager

Carli was first introduced to COAA when a friend and former client recommended she attend a conference. The rest was history.

She is active in COAA CARES and as a Social Media Ambassador, and provides resources and support where possible to help get a Wisconsin chapter up and running.

According to Carli, “COAA is a great organization on a mission to be a resource for owners and industry leaders to come together to learn, grow and collaborate with one another to make a positive impact on our industry – who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?”
